Becas Fulbright (para posgrado y especialización)

La beca Fulbright es la beca más prestigiosa del gobierno estadounidense. Dentro de las personas que han ganado la beca se encuentran 41 Jefes/as de Estado del mundo, 62 ganadores/as del Premio Nobel, 89 del Premio Pulitzer, y un Secretario general de las Naciones Unidas. El pilar de la beca Fulbright es utilizar la educación como instrumento de paz. Un Fulbrighter es un líder que conecta y trabaja de forma binacional por nuestros países. La beca Fulbright busca la excelencia a través del alto desempeño académico y profesional sumados al liderazgo y compromiso con el desarrollo de su disciplina y del país. Además un Fulbrighter se compromete a retornar y desde su trabajo, liderar el cambio.

Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI).

Programas académicos de 5 a 6 semanas que se centran en temas de estudios de los EE.UU. para grupos de estudiantes universitarios, académicos y profesores extranjeros. Organizados por universidades y facultades de todo Estados Unidos, los institutos incluyen una residencia académica intensiva, un viaje de estudios educativos y oportunidades para que los participantes interactúen con sus pares estadounidenses. Este programa se divide en:

Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars
Dirigido a académicos, profesores, profesionales y educadores secundarios cuyo propósito es fortalecer los planes de estudio y mejorar la enseñanza sobre los Estados Unidos en instituciones académicas en el extranjero.

Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders
Diseñado para estudiantes universitarios extranjeros entre las edades de 18 y 25 años para mejorar su comprensión de los Estados Unidos y desarrollar sus habilidades de liderazgo. Los institutos incluyen una residencia académica de cuatro semanas que consta de actividades interactivas en el aula, debates, conferencias, lecturas, visitas a sitios y talleres; un viaje de estudio educativo de una semana a una región diferente de los Estados Unidos; actividades de desarrollo de habilidades de liderazgo; servicio comunitario; y oportunidades para interactuar con sus pares estadounidenses en un campus universitario.

Young Leaders of the Americas (YLAI) Fellowship Program

Programa que empodera a emprendedores y líderes innovadores de la sociedad civil para fortalecer capacidades y promover sus ideas empresariales para contribuir al desarrollo social y económico en sus comunidades y región. YLAI promueve modelos de negocios estadounidenses, aumenta el comercio, fomenta la creación de empleo y construye redes duraderas y sostenibles de jóvenes emprendedores y líderes empresariales y sociales en América Latina, el Caribe, Canadá y Estados Unidos.

Community Solutions Program (CSP)

Programa de desarrollo profesional para los mejores y más brillantes líderes comunitarios globales que trabajan en temas relacionados con el medio ambiente, la tolerancia y la resolución de conflictos, la transparencia y la rendición de cuentas, y las mujeres y el género. Community Solutions es un programa de un año de duración que incluye una beca de cuatro meses en una organización comunitaria, una oficina gubernamental o un órgano legislativo de los EE. UU.

Youth Ambassadors

Dirigido a estudiantes de secundaria y mentores adultos de países de las Américas para promover el entendimiento mutuo, aumentar las habilidades de liderazgo y preparar a los jóvenes para marcar la diferencia en sus comunidades.

Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)

Dirigido a mujeres en situación de vulnerabilidad: con discapacidad, víctimas de violencia, inmigrantes, comunidad LGBTIQ+ y mayores de 50 años. Además, pueden participar trabajadoras del hogar, estudiantes de cosmetología, peluquería, corte y confección, manualidades, entre otros estudios técnicos. Deben contar con el deseo de emprender o reinventar el modelo de negocio que ya tienen en marcha.

In the conference I had the opportunity to represent all the public universities of Peru. We had a meeting with Ecuatorian universities who are working with USA. I did connections with researchers and professors from México, Ecuador, Peru and USA.

RUNAI Project: Peruvian Network of National Universities for Internationalization

"RUNA" (Person in Quechua language) + "i" (internationalization)

This network has a mystique of more than 2 thousand years, if we make synergy between the member universities, only San Marcos is 468 years old, so it is a group of people of Peruvian origin that seeks internationalization and that represent the ombudsmen that are the public universities. The letter "i" at the end, is not only internationalization, but also equality, innovation, investment, identity, research, internet and more.

The United States Department of State financed training to know how to do short-term mobility programs in order to increase mobility between universities in the United States and Peru, an idea that was widely worked on by Obama, and by many more programs that allow us to unite our towns, and that continue to be developed today. Support for education is the best thing a country can receive, in addition to investment and more.

In 2017 I had the opportunity to participate and be selected for training by an expert professor in Russian literature and Internationalization issues from the University of Illionis, the second most international and public university in the USA. In this training, I was able to see, not only the opportunities, but also the needs of Peruvian public universities and the gaps, barriers, inequalities, and more, so it occurred to me to create a Network, for this purpose.

With this idea alive, we were having meetings with the 12 universities that are present in the university law, fulfilling the leadership role of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, and making cooperation between public universities closer, since we have many things in common, and love for our country. Well now, recently in May 2019, due to the work we have with the Embassy of the United States in Peru, the suggestions and proposals were taken, and this made it possible for 11 representatives of the Offices of Cooperation of the member universities of RUNAi, carrying out a program of the Embassy of the United States in Peru, making relations.

But this is not all, because we already have active relations and proposals with Japan, Europe, Italy, Russia, India, China and more countries that are interested in the Internet.

The fair include USA institutions, such as, language institutes, universities, meeting, fundings.

Social Campaing in the Jungle of Peru with USA University and Peruvian universities

This campaing was aim to determinate the level of anemia and diabetes in the Jungle of Peru, Iquitos. We did a cultural exchange program between local students with students from USA. We use local facilities, coordinate in Lima as a Headquaters for Laboratory, strategy and tactics.

We coordinate, to exchange experience on how is the education system in Peru for highschools. We involve in the activities between Peruvian and USA students on how we can effective teaching and learning how to teach in different cultures, as a cross cultural activities.
